Quake hits Uttarakhand, tremors felt in Delhi, Haryana


As per media reports Vibrations were also felt in Himachal Pradesh's Shimla, Kullu and Mandi, and some parts of Punjab and Haryana.

A Strong quake tremors were felt in Delhi on Wednesday night.

The epicentre was Rudraprayag in Uttarakhand, according to India Meteorological Department (IMD).

A moderate natural disaster measuring 5.5 on the Richter scale hit Uttarakhand on Wednesday night, at around 8.45 p.m., causing tremors in the hill state and adjoining areas, including Delhi and NCR. The epicenter was 92 km NE of Rishikesh around Rudraprayag.

As per IMD, the epicentre of the quake was Uttarakhand's Rudraprayag, with a Magnitude of 5.5 and depth of 30 km. So far there is no information about the loss of life or property of any kind of natural disaster. Even on Tuesday, there was a 3.3-magnitude quake.
