Star Wars: The Last Jedi writer-director Rian Johnson says he was never approached by actor Billy Dee Williams about reprising his role as Lando Calrissian in the eighth installment of the Star Wars saga. A newly released behind-the-scenes video released by Lucasfilm offers fans a glimpse at the actress working alongside director Rian Johnson and the film's stunt team to ideal her lightsaber skills. "So I think it was wonderful and then the fact it came from a big studio says a lot too, and I think there's a big change already".

Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Gwendoline Christie, John Boyega and Kelly Marie Tran talk about the intense training they underwent to prepare for 2017's most-anticipated movie, Star Wars: The Last Jedi. "That's the whole thing that's exciting to me is let's go some new places, let's meet some new folks, let's see what else is out there".

Asked if she would be willing to be part of a far-flung future "Star Wars" film that would be directed by someone who's watching the current trilogy from the audience, Ridley said, "Who knows?"

"It's just rigorous - in a great way", said Driver (Kylo Ren). "And these stunt guys are very disciplined so you can't half-ass it".

"Star Wars: The Last Jedi" hits theaters December 15 and it's a safe bet there are plenty more words where that came from.
