Selena Gomez Breaks Down As She Thanks Friend For Saving Her Life

"I honestly look forward to sharing with you, soon my journey through these past several months as I have always wanted to do with you".

Selena posed for photos and walked the red carpet with her close friend Francia Raisa who donated her kidney to her. "I am so grateful for all the older women who have lifted all of us up, because I couldn't be here without all of you", Gomez added.

Earlier this year, Francia Raisa did something for Selena Gomez that even the closest of friends would struggle to do: give her bestie one of her kidneys.

The singing sensation had shocked her fanbase back in September when she revealed that, due to complications in her ongoing battle with lupus, she had received an emergency kidney transplant, with Raisa selflessly stepping up for her best friend. The former Fifth Harmony member performed her sultry single "Havana", which hit No. 1 on Billboard's pop songs charts this week.

Gomez, who was spotted again with the Biebs on the heels of her breakup with the "Starboy" crooner, explained her reunion with Bieber this way: "I cherish people who have really impacted my life".

"It was so positive for our friendship", she says about the operation.

She said, "To be honest, I'm not sure how to answer - not because I'm trying to back away from it".

"I feel incredibly lucky", she continued.

The "Bad Liar" singer said that she's altered and edited herself her whole life for the sake of others. "It was really hard in the beginning", she admitted. The 25-year-old faced serious (and understandable) backlash, because the 82-year-old was accused of sexually abusing his adopted daughter, Dylan Farrow, when she was just seven years old. "I love you so much sis".

"I do feel like I earned it".
