An iOS Bug May Hit One's iPhone on December 2nd

Updates usually bring their own problems and it looks like the latest version of the OS has brought a very peculiar one to the iPhone X.

Your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch should automatically offer to upgrade you to iOS 11.2 at some point during the weekend. Apple Pay Cash feature is limited to the U.S. consumers only as the service is only available in the United States.

That seemed to be an embarrassing end to the problems, but late last night reports emerged that Apple's rushed software patch could be just as buggy as the code it was supposed to fix. In addition to the fix for the crashing issue, iOS 11.2 brings a major new feature for iMessage users: Apple Pay Cash.

Luckily, there's a fix, and it's called iOS 11.2. If you're an iPhone X, iPhone 8, or iPhone 8 Plus owner, iOS 11.2 enables faster wireless charging with certain compatible charging pads. The update was released to iOS users this morning, and includes Apple Pay Cash which allows individuals to send and receive money through Messages or by asking the Siri assistant.

It has only been a few days since Apple managed to fix the admin login bypass bug in macOS, and a new problem is already waiting at the doorstep, and it involves a much larger audience. The bug can cause your iPhone to crash because of local recurring notifications which are being used by some apps in the App Store.

It must be noted that the bug doesn't now seem to affect users running the iOS 11.2 beta.

So you should update your phone when you get a minute before you encounter this weird clock crash. The new version comes as a savior to the recent 11.1.2 update that caused the phones to malfunction.

Besides the bug fix, iOS 11.2 includes the aforementioned Apple Pay for iMessage for USA users, new wallpaper options for iPhone X users, and a handful of other minor improvements. Users can download the 430.7MB update by navigating to Settings General Software Update. People turned to turning off app notifications or setting any previous date.
