Billboard Women in Music 2017: ` Powerhouse` Kelly Clarkson gets political

Her decision to grapple with those issues propelled her into the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 and on Thursday (Nov. 30), earned her the American Express Impact Award at the 2017 Billboard Women in Music Awards.

Clarkson further revealed the moment she is extremely proud of and said the release of her latest album "Meaning of Life" is the "proudest moment" of her entire career.

Kelly managed to put the incident behind her as she took home the Powerhouse Award at the star-studded ceremony, accepting it from Kelly Rowland and praising the former Destiny's Child singer for her "cool" dress sense.

The 35-year-old was also asked what the term "powerhouse" meant to her, to which she replied with a laugh, "I guess it's someone who walks into a room and, like them or hate them, they're here!"

When Extra's Renee Bargh commented on how happy Kelly looked, she responded, "Other than we got robbed last night..." We got here and our whole house was like bashed in.

Clarkson didn't reveal what was taken in the break in, but she said, "Materialistic things we didn't care about". "It's a new goddamn day and I'm loving it", she exclaimed.

The event was attended by many high-profile artists including Mary J. Blige, Kelly Clarkson, Ciara, and Camila Cabello who were moved as Miss Gomez brought up her best friend "sister" and kidney donor Francia Raisa, on stage. "You stand up for yourself".
