The device seems to come in a metallic body and houses the company's branding at the back in attractive red colour. The recently announced flagship smartphone is now available in only a Midnight Black colour, but the OnePlus fans in China can cheer that OnePlus introduced a new colour in its homeland. Vikas Agarwal, General Manager, OnePlus India, said "OnePlus 5T has received overwhelming response in India and globally during the early access sale". The device can be bought from OnePlus's official website, Amazon India, and Croma stores.
OnePlus 5T goes on sale in India on Tuesday, November 28 via Amazon India and the OnePlus online store.
To recall, the smartphone sports a 6-inch full HD display with 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution, protected by 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass.
For taking photos, the 5T is using a different dual-camera setup from the OnePlus 5. OnePlus prides itself on being a company that actively listens to its fans, so if enough people start nagging for a Lava Red 5T in other areas, our chances of bringing this beauty outside of China might not be too shabby.More news: Barrett wins back-to-back Player of Year awards
The smartphone will be available in two storage variants. Moreover, HDFC Bank debit and credit cards users are eligible for a Rs 1,500 instant discount on purchase of OnePlus 5T through Amazon India till December 2017. There is no word from OnePlus regarding its worldwide availability.
A 16MP primary f/1.7 camera is present at the back along with a 20MP f/1.7 secondary sensor.
The OP5T supports dual Nano SIMs and runs an OxygenOS 4.7 based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat, with Android 8.0 update expected soon.
There's a lot to like about the OnePlus 5T. Powering the phone is Qualcomm's top-of-the-line Snapdragon 835 SoC that is paired with Adreno 540 GPU for graphics. The smartphone still doesn't support wireless charging but retains the Dash Charging capabilities introduced with the OnePlus 3. The new model now has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. According to OnePlus, the Face Unlock works 99% of the time when your nose and eyes are visible properly.
