Nov.20 (ANI): Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani on Monday said the Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti (PAAS) leaders, who were working as agents of Congress, have been exposed following their clash over ticket distribution. He said that Hardik has been "totally exposed today" and claimed the Congress was behind the Patidar quota stir in Gujarat.

"The Congress has agreed to provide reservation to the Patidar community", Hardik Patel said while interacting with the media. He categorically said that PAAS would not join any political party for the next two and a half years and keep fighting against atrocities of BJP.

"I am forecasting that in the first place, Congress will not come to power in Gujarat and even if they do, they would only say that we tried, but the Supreme Court struck down the proposal", Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel told mediapersons.

"We never asked for any ticket".

"My fight in Gujarat is against the BJP and that is why we will directly or indirectly support Congress (in the elections) as it has accepted our demand for reservation", Hardik told reporters in Ahmedabad. There is no disagreement between the Congress and Patidar leaders. "Also, there is no conflict within PAAS", Hardik said. He said, "Congress offer is to morons, it is making a fool of Hardik Patel".

"Though it is very much clear that reservation quota can not go beyond 50 per cent in any situation, Hardik is trying to misguide the Patidar community with the formula offered by the Congress".

Patel said any quota in government jobs and educational institutions exceeding the 50% cap put by the Supreme Court is something "offered by fools and also accepted by fools".

The PAAS leader accused the BJP of "horse trading" in north Gujarat, saying: "BJP is using tactics as it fears defeat".

Mewani, 37, had met Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in Surat recently. Among the four new inductions, there were three from the PAAS. Nilesh Kumbhani was replaced as party's candidate from Kamrej assembly constituency in a late night announcement.
