Tonga beat New Zealand 28-22 in their pool match last week while Fiji defeated the Kiwis 4-2 in a thriller quarter-final match last Saturday night at the Westpac Stadium, Wellington in New Zealand.

They levelled the scores with a Shaun Johnson penalty early in the second half but Fiji refused to let them get a grip.

Some of the players who featured for the Bati in the last two World Cups are Akuila Uate, James Storer and Ashton Sims while Jarryd Hayne played in 2008 and prominently featured for the Kangaroos in 2013 where he scored four tries against the Bati in the semis.

Fiji will now face Australia in the semi-finals.

As it was, the two points from hooker Koroisau's successful 15th minute effort were all that divided the teams.

"We prepared for it all week, we prepared for it all tournament".

"We are in the business of slaying giants".
