Two Israelis Injured in Palestinian Car-Ramming Attack


A Palestinian terrorist rammed his vehicle into two Israelis, seriously injuring one of them, before getting shot while trying to stab soldiers in Gush Etzion on Friday morning.

Today, following the auto ramming attack in Gush Etzion, IDF forces encircled the 17-year-old terrorist's home village of Halhul. The first victim, who suffered only light injuries, was taken to the Hadassh University Medical Center in the capital.

Jamal killed the three Israelis and critically wounded a fourth outside the West Bank settlement of Har Adar before he was shot dead.

Over the past several hours, a number of senior-level IDF commanders arrived at the scene of the attack and spoke to the soldiers on the ground.

The IDF, after a preliminary investigation, said that the terrorist was a 17-year-old boy.

Israeli daily Haaretz said that the Palestinian then exited his auto, and reportedly ran towards a group of soldiers at Etzion Junction, "in an attempt to stab them", but they shot him inflicting serious wounds. The 70-year-old victim was lightly injured on his head and was taken to Shaarei Tzedek hospital.

The attacker is reported to be in critical condition.
