Some AT&T wireless customers hit by outage

Numerous reports of problems are showing up on Twitter, as affected customers are reaching out to the company for a solution.

By 4:00 pm Wednesday afternoon, almost 6,000 complaints about AT&T service outages had been lodged with DownDetecor, and reports of persisting issues have continued, in smaller numbers, well into Thursday morning.

- AT&T customers reported issues making calls on Wednesday night.

AT&T said Wednesday that some USA customers had trouble placing wireless calls but restarting the device would fix the problem.

Some AT&T wireless customers in western Kentucky have reported problems with their service.

In a statement, AT&T said it was "aware of an issue affecting some users' ability to make certain wireless calls". Since 8 p.m. outage reports began subsiding, with most of the reports originating in National Football League cities, especially Atlanta, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. An AT&T spokesperson said that should resolve the issue.

Users in the Merced area have complained of problems making calls.
