Next-gen Samsung Galaxy A5 will have an Infinity Display


If previous Galaxy A7 and the A5 series launch pattern is taken as any indication, the new models are expected to make their debut in December 2017 or early January 2018.

Rumours are circulating that the Galaxy A5 that it will be receiving the Infinity Display treatment borrowed from the Samsung Galaxy S8.

From the leaked case, we could see that Samsung Galaxy A5 2018 will not be joining the Galaxy Note 8 by donning the dual-lens camera.

Nothing has been confirmed yet by the South Korean tech giant but a benchmark lists the Samsung SM-A530F with 18:9 aspect and a lower 412 x 846 resolution.

Other than the model number, the website doesn't give out any other details, but rumors point towards an Exynos 7885 SoC, 4GB RAM, 32GB ROM, Android Nougat out of the box and IP68 certification, among other features. The one that was spotted on the FCC, revealed some of the specifications of the upcoming phone.

The suggestions of the 2018 model number are something on the lines of A530N. Instead, the biometric scanner will be transferred to the back portion, or right below the camera module. It is also said that the next-gen A series Samsung smartphone may come with improved camera department compared to its predecessors.

It is also likely that the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) will sport a USB Type-C port and the new Bixby button, which will call Samsung's resident virtual assistant right away. S9 and S9+ will be a lot similar to the S8 phones, apart from some differences on the hardware and software front.

A Samsung phone with model-number, SM-A530N, understood to be Galaxy A5 (2018), has been listed on the USA government-run FCC (Federal Communications Commission) and also received the necessary certifications, which are mandatory to get before it enters the market.
