"Unfortunately, we lost our baby boy due to some complications, and had to prematurely deliver him early this morning around 4 a.m.", Goodwin wrote on his Instagram after the game next to a picture of the tiny infant's hand wrapping around a fingertip.

"Today, I had to deliver my precious baby boy early this morning due to preterm labor", she wrote.

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Marquise Goodwin impressed crowds on Sunday by scoring an 83-yard touchdown.

And when Goodwin scored the TD, he gripped the football tight, looked up to the sky and emotionally broke down in the end zone in this heartbreaking moment.

The San Francisco 49ers got their first win under first-year head coach Kyle Shanahan on Sunday, beating the hapless New York Giants, 31-21.

Goodwin left the team's locker room quickly after the game to return to his family, NBC Sports reported.

In a lengthy post of her own on Instagram, Goodwin-Snow said, "This whole week has taken an emotional toll on my husband and I, struggling to keep our healthy baby safe in my womb".

This wasn't the only big play Goodwin had in the game, as he also produced a big block on tight end Garrett Celek's 47-yard touchdown.

"I just wanna thank those who've genuinely prayed for @morganakamomo & myself through out this pregnancy".

Prayers to Marquise Goodwin, his wife, Morgan, and their entire family for their tragic loss. This was truly an unbelievable experience and it was also a tragic experience.
