Underwood took to Facebook and Twitter on Sunday to thank fans for their support after news of her accident spread.

Along with her broken wrist, the Before He Cheats songstress is also healing from minor cuts and abrasions. Underwood, 34, married pro hockey star Mike Fisher, 37, in July 2010.

"Thanks so much for all the well wishes everybody", Underwood's tweet reads.

A representative speaking on her behalf stated that "On Friday night, Carrie Underwood took a hard fall" on a staircase outside of her house.

The doctors chose to release her from the hospital not long after they put a cast on her wrist. She has since been released from the hospital, her representative said.

Underwood was set to play the Country Rising benefit concert in Nashville Sunday night alongside stars like Jason Aldean, Sam Hunt and Keith Urban, but was forced to pull out.

A statement from an Underwood spokesperson says she will miss a benefit concert Sunday in Nashville for victims of the October 1 Las Vegas shooting and hurricanes in Florida, Texas, Puerto Rico and the Caribbean.

"I've seen her perform countless times but this one may be my favorite all time", Fisher wrote. Underwood said she's grateful for her compassionate husband.
