Ellen DeGeneres, Portia de Rossi's partner of nine years, too wrote a supportive tweet in response. And I got out of there unscathed ... "The Good Wife" actress Julianna Margulies recalled when she "squirmed" her way out of being alone with Seagal in a hotel room.
Portia says the incident happened during her final audition for a part in one of Seagal's movies - she does not say which one.
"I ran out and called my agent. He told me how important it was to have chemistry off=screen as he sat me down and unzipped his leather trousers".
Speaking on a USA radio show, she said: "When I was 23, a casting director, a woman, said, "Steven Seagal wants to go over the scene with you in his hotel room at 10 o'clock at night".
The agent was "unfazed", De Rossi tweeted. "I sorta screamed my way out", she claimed.More news: Stability at the top marks the College Football Playoff rankings
"I lived in Brooklyn, and I said, "Oh, I don't do that". Following the audition, Guerrero's manager told her that Seagal was willing to offer her the lead role in the film if she attended a "private rehearsal" with him. I don't travel. I don't have money for a cab.' And I didn't.
Though the allegations are rising to the surface in the wake of the Weinstein news, Seagal was accused of inappropriate behavior long before the Weinstein scandal.
"I had just turned 16 on this movie, and he said, 'You know, Katie, I've got girlfriends your age, '" Heigl recalled. "And he said, 'They don't seem to mind'".
Actress-turned-journalist Lisa Guerrero also claimed that Seagal almost assaulted her. It always starts with "I am a healer".
De Rossi is the second woman to accuse Seagal of harassment. Seagal's lawyer, Marty Singer-who now represents stars like Ratner-denied the claims, calling them "false, fabricated and defamatory".
Seagal's representatives did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
