George Takei denies allegation that he groped male model in 1980s

Following George Takei's emphatic denial of the sexual assault claims made against him by former model Scott R. Brunton, a disturbing interview where he admitted to non-consensual sexual advances to a man in his house has resurfaced on social media. THR says several of Brunton's friends have confirmed that Brunton told them the story over the years.

Scott R Brunton told The Hollywood Reporter he was 23 at the time, living in Hollywood and working as a waiter when he met Mr Takei at a bar. They exchanged numbers, he said, speaking by telephone from time to time, when Takei invited Brunton to dinner, the theatre and back to his condo for drinks soon after Brunton had broken up with a boyfriend. When he awoke, he said he found Takei "groping" at his crotch in an attempt to take advantage of him.

He said he never told anyone because he thought "it's my word against his".

On Saturday morning, Takei posted a series of statements on Twitter in which he denied knowing Brunton and said he was "shocked and bewildered" by the allegation.

Heather Unruh told reporters on Wednesday that Spacey stuck his hand down her then-18-year-old-son's trousers and grabbed his genitals while the two of them were at a restaurant in July 2016.

"Who's going to believe me?" Takei, Brunton said, "was a great ear".

"We have the drink, and he asks if I would like another", Brunton said in the magazine. "I flirted with all women, be they actresses, producers or 80-year-old grandmothers".

But then Takei says something curious, "I do take these claims very seriously".

Brunton's said he changed his mind after Takei spoke out about allegations leveled against actor Kevin Spacey.

Oscar victor Dreyfuss, 70, was accused of harassing and exposing himself to a female writer and said in a statement: "I became an ***hole".

"I have wracked my brain to ask if I remember Mr. Brunton, and I can not say I do. They do so because they have the power, and they chose to abuse it". Brunton says he told Takei "No, I don't want to do this, " and pushed him off, to which Takei responded, "OK, fine".

"Right now it is a he said / he said situation, over alleged events almost 40 years ago".

Takei called the accusations a "he said/he said situation" and added that the "very idea that someone would accuse me of this is quite personally painful".

In 2005, Takei came out publicly and revealed he had been in a relationship for 18 years. Stern asked. "You mean some guy who was hesitating to have sex with you and then you gave him a gentle squeeze on the balls or something?".
