Twenty-year-old Abraham, who is also eligible to play for Nigeria, has played for England at Under-21, U19 and U18 level and was part of the England U21 squad for the European Championship earlier this year, scoring once in the tournament against Germany.

Loftus-Cheek, 21, has played seven games for Palace, while 20-year-old Gomez has become Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp's first-choice pick at right-back for Premier League games.

Chelsea forward Abraham now on loan at Swansea made the cut after scoring four Premier League goals this season, including a brace in the Swans' 2-0 win against Huddersfield on October 14.

" It's very pleasing news to see someone we've brought to the club on loan rewarded with his first call-up". His back-to-goal play is improving and so is his defensive work... it's pleasing news, particularly for Tammy but also for our club and for his parent club Chelsea.

And England manager Gareth Southgate has made a decision to hand the 20-year old his first call-up for the double header friendlies this November.

Manchester United's Ashley Young, Danny Rose of Spurs and Leicester's Jamie Vardy have been recalled but there is no place for Liverpool pair Daniel Sturridge and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, United's Chris Smalling or Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere.

Tammy Abraham, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Joe Gomez have been called up to the England squad for November's friendly matches against Germany and Brazil. "He has been picked on merit and we wish him well".

Having already secured their qualification to the World Cup finals in Russian Federation next year, the Three Lions are scheduled to face Brazil and Germany in friendly fixtures over the upcoming worldwide break.

"He got a lovely assist against Arsenal (last week)".
