If you've ever struggled to manage both your email and several other applications at once, all while running a successful business or just trying to get through your work day, you're in luck, because Google has heard your internalized cries for help.

Google foresees Gmail add-ons as allowing users to complete their tasks and workflows right from their inbox without having to switch between the apps.

Additionally, GMail can "contextually see" what app you need to focus on using some clever AI and the contents of your mail. Also, a variety of other apps are already available, including Dialpad, Hire, Intuit QuickBooks Invoicing, ProsperWorks, RingCentral, Smartsheet, and Streak. To get started with Add-Ons, users can head to the G Suite Marketplace, where a range of services are available through the program.

The search engine giant announced that Gmail Add-ons is created to help people who view their email system as their primary work tool to be able to undertake other work-related tasks, without the need to interrupt their workflow by leaving the Gmail application. Not only does this make it even easier to accomplish tasks, but it also means that you only have to install an Add-On on one device to receive the service any time you use your account, no matter the device. Additionally, developers will be to write their add-on code once, and it will run natively in Gmail on web and Android right away. These Gmail partners includes Asana, which turns communication into tasks that can be tracked, all from the Gmail inbox.

For anyone signing lots of PDF paperwork, a Gmail add-on for the DocuSign service is coming soon, Gmail product manager Aakash Sahney said in a blog post.
