The meeting was presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari and had in attendance Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Senate President Bukola Saraki, Speaker of the House of Representatives Yakubu Dogara, and the newly-appointed Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha.
The two separate meetings between the President and his visitors took place at the new Banquet hall.
The meeting is a prelude to the National Executive Council (NEC) meeting of the party billed for the party secretariat today.
Tinubu told State House Correspondents after a closed-door meeting with Buhari in the Presidential Villa, Abuja, categorically that he should not be dragged into the matter.

President Buhari, had on October 26, met with the leaders of the National Assembly after the cancellation of the planned dinner for lawmakers in the Presidential Villa.
TheNewsGuru.com reports that Ouattara, who arrived the Presidential Villa at about 12.15 p.m., was introduced to some cabinet ministers and presidential aides by President Buhari before the commencement of their meeting.
Ahead of the national caucus' meeting, Buhari had earlier in the day met behind closed doors with Saraki, Dogara; Odigie-Oyegun; and the Chairman of the Nigeria Governors' Forum and Zamfara State Governor, Abdullaziz Yari.
