Amazon now lets you place products in your home with augmented reality


Amazon also released several other new features recently in preparation for the holidays, including voice shopping on Alexa. You use one finger to move the item and two to rotate. Users can check out this AR View action in the standard Amazon app on iTunes right this minute.

Amazon has added an AR component to its app, using Apple's ARKit to let customers place various items in their house virtually before buying them. This implementation does come with a caveat of only working with iPhone 6s or higher devices that are running iOS 11. However, it was not very useful due to the limited product set and sort of unreal overlay. They can then select from thousands of items - from living room, bedroom, kitchen and home office products to electronics, toys and games, home décor and more.

To use Amazon AR View, first tap the camera icon in the Amazon app, and then select the new feature from the menu, according to TechCrunch.
