"Available starting December 9th, players from around the world can experience three fearsome quests as they join up with other hunters online or take on the beasts alone in the exclusive beta for PlayStation Plus users". It appears that the DLC may be free to all owners, as the Monster Hunter: World community will need to accomplish a world event that revolves around turning in material to the Smithy before the content is unlocked for all. The reveal was followed by a series of announcements, one of which is that Aloy from "Horizon Zero Dawn" will be a playable character.
Multiple quests will be on offer, allowing players to take on monsters like the Great Jagras and Anjanath. The full armor set will make any player character look like Aloy from head to toe, including facial likeness.More news: Tiger Woods to return to competitive golf in Hero World Challenge
Previous installments of the game franchise included similar costume changes, just like the "Legend of Zelda" armor in "Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate", which was released on the Nintendo 3DS a few years ago.
The content won't be available at launch, but obviously it'll never be released on other formats -because Horizon Zero Dawn is a Sony exclusive. Hunters can courageous the beast alone or with their team of four hunters.
Monster Hunter: World is a multiformat game though, and will be released on January 26 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
