Steyer has poured his wealth into various liberal political efforts, largely focused on combating climate change. "Wacky & totally unhinged", Trump tweeted about Steyer, who tweeted back that he would continue to fight Trump's "racism and corporate groveling".
The billionaire environmentalist has also been sharply critical of California Senator Dianne Feinstein, who he considers soft on Trump because she once said he could be "a good President".
