Law enforcement sources tell us Mariah's crib was hit around 3 AM Thursday.

According to brand new reports, Mariah Carey's Los Angeles massive home was broken into by a group of burglars, who managed to get away after stealing a number of expensive objects that amounted to about $50,000.

The mother of two was in NY during the 3 a.m. robbery Thursday, where the 47-year-old chanteuse enjoyed dinner and bowling with boyfriend, dancer Brian Tanaka, 34, the previous night. No one else was in the home at the time, TMZ reported.

The burglars reportedly got into the home through a window or door on an upper floor. And while she owns a selection of jaw-dropping (and very valuable) pieces of jewelry, those items were apparently left untouched by the thieves.

The police are now on the case, though it's just one more in a string of celebrity burglaries that have occurred this year. Scott Disick, Jason Derulo, Alanis Morissette, David Spade, Emmy Rossum but also Rachel Bilson have all been the target of thieves very organized.
