Son Of Radio Show Host "Delilah" Takes His Own Life


The radio world is stunned - and ALL ACCESS sends condolences to syndicated night star DELILAH, who shared vis her FACEBOOK page that her teen son committed suicide after a long battle with depression.

In a report obtained by People, it was learned that her son was being treated, counseled, and was supported by the entire family while he battled against depression.

In 1993, Rene founded the Point Hope Foundation, through which she "advocates for reform in the foster care system and lives the belief of finding Forever Families for as many children as there are available to adopt", according to the organization's website. On Saturday, Delilah shared news of the tragedy on social media. She continued that she'll look forward of her return very soon.

The star did not say how old her son was or how he died. "But I have to believe he is at peace with the Lord and that God will get us through..."

Sammy's death came just two years after he was adopted from a Ghanaian refugee camp in West Africa, the New York Daily News reported.

'My son Sammy passed from this world today into heaven, but he left behind a piece of his incredible soul in all that met him.

This isn't the first child Delilah lost. Everyone who met him was blessed by his big heart, his silly character voices, his wonderful sense of humor and his kindness towards all.

Delilah announced over the weekend that she is taking a break from radio and social media to "grieve and try to process this loss". As of 2012, Delilah has been married to a man named Paul Warner.

Delilah said in a January Facebook post that Zack was autistic.
