Green Bay Packers-Dallas Cowboys Preview

Sunday at AT&T Stadium, the Cowboys and Packers will meet for the fifth time in the last four years.

Green Bay's depth as the season wears on will be a major factor in the NFC North.

Machota: I doubt that.

Time for those Silver Star Nation keys to the Cowboys' game this Sunday against the Green Bay Packers. Looking for some redemption, Dallas is certainly hoping to return the favor to Green Bay in this Week Five matchup. "It's just something that it's definitely something, I mean, it's not a revenge thing it's just something that is in the back of your mind and I guess that might be useful when it's game time". Again, this is no reason to panic.

However, these Packers and Cowboys are different teams than the ones that battled in January's instant classic that, had one of these teams won the Super Bowl, would have gone down in the history books.

Aaron Rodgers loves working the sidelines with out routes, vertical routes, and back shoulder throws to Jordy Nelson and Davante Adams.

The Dallas Cowboys defense will get a huge boost with the return of defensive end David Irving. They average just 74.5 yards per game on the ground.

Lee is the quarterback of the Cowboys defense and without him, they tend to struggle. In the passing phase, one variable is whether the longer break will help WR Davante Adams (concussion) come back to challenge Dallas, which allows just 6.7 yards per throw and is tied for third in the National Football League with 12 sacks.

In 2014 they went into Seattle and controlled everything against the Seahawks and just previous year, the Cowboys went on the road against the Packers and beat them up in front of their fans. Clearly the quarterbacks are going to get better and it obviously starts on Sunday.

"We've all been here since the spring", Hitchens said. "This is an important game in the NFC and it should be a good one". Look for Elliott to have over 130 rushing yards and a few more receiving yards out of the backfield.

The Cowboys have been waiting for the rematch but they know how this feels.

All eyes will be on Rodgers. The Cowboys in their two wins have allowed 10 points per game. Cowboys' win was in regular season a year ago. My gut feeling is that this young defense - and the entire team, in fact - will deliver an inspired performance that makes you think they'll be peaking as they move further down the schedule, but Rodgers makes one more play to win another high-scoring game between these two rivals. My worry is on the defensive side when it comes to defending Rodgers. After last season, RT Doug Free retired, LG Ron Leary is now in Denver, and their two replacements, La'el Collins and Chaz Green, haven't quite found their groove yet. These are great numbers, but if Dallas is going to improve they'll need help from other players outside of Lawrence. "We all know how serious that can be". Twenty-nine percent of the time opponents have been able to convert and sustain drives.

Dak Prescott VS Green Bay linebackers: Dak likes to make plays with his feet rather than throw incompletions or risky balls so the Packers linebacking corps will need to keep an eye on the young signal-caller. There are no standouts beyond former number one pick Byron Jones at safety and they have nothing but untested rookies behind the starters.
