The game is the fourth to go to seven overtimes at college football's top level. The Bulls scored 81 points in a shutout over Hobart in 1918.

Western Michigan beat Buffalo on Saturday, 71-68.

This week? That place was UB Stadium in Buffalo.

According to Sports Illustrated, Western Michigan received a 15-yard penalty for the actions of Ernsberger's sister, who was kicked out of the game.

19 - Touchdowns scored by the two teams.

After Buffalo scored a TD to start overtime, Western Michigan answered with a Jon Wassink pass to tight end Donnie Ernsberger - whose sister ran onto the field to celebrate.

The game had a ridiculous moment in the first overtime too.

13 - Passing touchdowns for both teams for the entire season coming into Saturday. Little did she know that the game, by then more than three hours long, was evolving into the longest run-on sentence in history.

After that unexpected drama, the game was still a long way from being over. Western Michigan's Josh Grant attempted a 52-yarder as time expired but Jarrett Franklin blocked it.

The game that seemed like it lasted forever ended so abruptly that neither team was quite sure how to respond when it did. The Bulls dragged themselves off the field, physically exhausted, emotionally spent and reduced to tears.

"I don't think we played well", Lester said, "but we just kept battling and found a way to win". I assume she thought the game was over.
