TRACKING: Rain chances increase Thursday and Friday

SATURDAY: Partly sunny, with a high near 83.

Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy - low around 53.

Today: Highs will reach the 70s for many areas in the lower elevations with the 60s for the local mountains.

It will be sunny all day with a high temperature near 68 degrees and an east wind at 3 to 8 miles per hour. On the forecast track, the center of Nate should move across northeastern Nicaragua and eastern Honduras this afternoon and then over the northwestern Caribbean Sea tonight and Friday.

Wednesday, a 30 percent chance of showers. West wind 5 to 8 miles per hour. Low around 68. There will be a 40 percent chance of rain around midnight. Up to a half-inch of rain is possible.

Thursday: Showers and thunderstorms likely. East wind 5 to 10 miles per hour. New rainfall amounts between three quarters and one inch possible. An approaching cold front brings the chance for showers overnight into the day Sunday.

Wednesday, Oct. 4 - Sunny, with a high near 82. South wind around 8 miles per hour.

Saturday Night: Tropical storm conditions possible. Cloudy, with a low around 63.

Saturday - Mostly cloudy skies with scattered showers & thunderstorms as well as a 40% chance of rainfall.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 77. Mostly cloudy - low around 65.

The work week ends much as it started with sunny, mild and dry weather and a Friday high temp of 71.

Friday night: Showers and thunderstorms before 1am, then a chance of showers. Temperatures drop into the mid-60s tonight and it is partly cloudy.
