Las Vegas police are appealing for blood donations as hospitals struggle to cope with the overwhelming demand for resources. Bonfils says donors should make an appointment to come in and donate so they have enough blooding coming into the center not just hours after the shooting but days and weeks later. All donors will receive a Give A Pint of Hope T-Shirt and MyBloodSource Reward.

The American Red Cross also offers guidance on local sites to donate blood in time of need. "Right here in South Georgia or North Florida because there are people every day who need help", said Michaels. The Community Blood Center in Topeka provided blood to emergency stricken areas like Florida and Houston following the hurricanes. It then takes another 48-hours for processing.
