The most interesting product of the three introduced ahead of the IFA 2017 start today is the higher-end Gear Sport, which looks nothing like last year's style-focused Gear S3. There's no specific price for the Gear Sport yet, but we expect it to be between $200 and $300 ($300 is about £230). The pricing and availability are yet to be announced.
The Gear Sport follows the classic watch design of its last year's smartwatch cousins - the Gear S3. Gear Sport Gear Sport is stylish, yet practical with a minimalistic, circular bezel, Super AMOLED 1.2-inch display and improved user interface that makes it easy to view information, even when on-the-go. It's not almost the fitness beast Fitbit launched, which tracks your breathing and oxygen consumption and all sorts of other insane things, but Samsung's offering a lot of the same features in a much more attractive package.
But Samsung chose Berlin - namely the annual IFA consumer electronics show - to unveil a trio of brand new smart watches. That's frogman-speak for 50m underwater, or deeper than you're ever likely to go in a swimming pool. It includes the ability to control Samsung IoT devices with Samsung Connect, the ability to act as a remote control for things like a Gear VR or even a PowerPoint presentation, and you can use it to purchase goods with Samsung Pay. Both devices provide access to Under Armour's fitness apps including Under Armour Record™, MyFitnessPal®, MapMyRun® and Endomondo™ for activity, nutrition, sleep and fitness tracking functions - these apps provide users with a holistic picture of their health and fitness. Running Tizen OS it is compatible with all Android 4.4+ phones and recent iPhones running iOS 9+, and comes in two sizes. The providence of the Gear Sport is clear when you use it, though. The Samsung Gear Sport comes with MIL-STD-810G certification and water-resistant up to 5 atmospheres (about 50 meters).More news: Fire Ants Make Themselves into Rafts to Float to Safety in Houston

Gear Fit2 Pro hits stores September 15 for $199.
When our Wearables Editor reviewed the Gear Fit 2, he managed to get about 3 days of juice per charge. There's no option to choose your assistant, so if you pair your IconX to a Samsung device you'll be stuck with Bixby, pair them to a Pixel and you're getting Google Assistant and so on. It'll get you four hours of talk time. The new Gear IconX 2018 fitness earbuds come in Black, Gray, and Pink color options. Naturally you'll need to have your phone with you for this to work.
