Much to the disappointment of millions of fans around the globe, former Hollywood power couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt made a decision to part ways a year ago, citing "irreconcilable differences".
The couple shocked their fans after their split in September 2016 and filing for divorce.
Angelina, who has 16-year-old Maddox, 13-year-old Pax, 12-year-old Zahara, 11-year-old Shiloh and nine-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne with Brad, recently opened up about her and Brad's separation for the first time, admitting that she was "thankful" they'd been able to remain civil.
The reason given for the alleged stall is Brad coming clean about his boozing in an interview with GQ this past May.
With the divorce now in limbo, the source says the couple could make the next step together.

Ultimately, the A-lister family settled for a six-bedroom estate close to Pitt's residence in Los Angeles, which Jolie later described as a "a big jump forward for us". Pitt was investigated for child abuse and was cleared of the charges.
"She's still so in love with him".
He added, "And it's hit me smack in the face with our divorce: I gotta be more". I gotta be more for them. "And I haven't been great at it".
A friend of Jolie, 42, told Us Weekly that the commitment to self-improvement has struck a chord with the actress, who reportedly previously claimed she would consider taking Brad back "if he showed he was committed to raising a family".
Brad apparently "got sober to try and win her back" and that him quitting drinking was "all she ever wanted". "He knew he had a problem that he had to take care of".
"Normally you would see paperwork in an on-going custody battle, they haven't seen any of that, so some are saying in the absence of movement forward on a divorce, maybe a reconciliation is in the works", he said.
