The new version now supports the use of WebView (mini browser functionality that is bundled for use within a mobile app) on the Raspberry Pi 3. While this is not officially confirmed by Google, it is quite shocking nonetheless.

Should these reports hold water, Android O is expected to be rolled out to Google Pixel or Nexus phones first before anything else.

According to the reports, it looks like this decision has been taken to iron out a few bugs and issues.

Google has released the latest developer preview of their IoT platform, Android Things today with Dev Preview 5 now available.

"The Android O update for Pixel has been pushed back (surprise)". The major features are notification dots, a new picture in picture mode which lets you watch video in a small window whilst you perform other tasks on your smartphone, support for third party calling apps and notification channels in which notifications can be segmented into various different channels like sports news, and so on.

Using Google's advanced machine learning techniques, Android O will bring the ability to select texts, recognise it as an address, email ID or a contact number, and will show related options. Other Android O features include an Autofill API, battery life improvements, and improved Bluetooth audio.

Also, Android Police won't publish the name on its website until someone from Google corroborates the information that they've received from its source.

With this new update, users will now find it easier to switch between video and still image. He didn't reveal the exact date of release yet. The "Octopus" in the easter egg is being attributed to the full form of Android O. There is still no final word as to what will be the full form of Android O and what the official mascot will be.
