'Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen' (ALL) Gets PS4/XOne Date - Trailer

The package includes the original Dragon's Dogma game, with all the additional content from the expansion Dark Arisen, including the Bitterblack Isle area.

Capcom announced today that the new remastered version of their 2013 action RPG, Dragon's Dogma, will be headed to the west later this year. Aside from their own characters, players could create an ally companion who could fight alongside them.

Dark Arisen included a new zone, all the DLC content from the original game, as well as a new fast travel system, new items, weapons, armor, and quests. At the same time, players could hire other player-made pawns to help them in battle.

We'll give this one a shout out, however, as Dragon's Dogma was one of the better games to go nearly completely unnoticed during the previous console cycle.

It also released before the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 existed, and up until now hasn't enjoyed a modern console release. In addition, Dragon's Dogma will ship with thousands of ready-made Pawns for players to pick their allies offline.

"Based in an epic fantasy setting, Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen combines exhilarating and deep combat with the freedom to explore and interact in this rich and detailed world", the company noted in a press statement. The PC version from 2016 did look a bit dated and this was hopefully paid attention to for the remaster.
