Fantasy Flight Games is Making an Official Fallout Board Game

But wait - perhaps the most important part of this announcement is the fact that, in celebration of the Game of the Year Edition's launch, there will be more Fallout 4: Game of the Year Pip-Boy collector's editions made available again.

Fallout 4 is a massive game with a lot to offer, so if you've been holding off on jumping in because you didn't want to spend the extra cash on add-ons or other augments, this is a great time to get on board. The set will include the base game, all updates, and all of the previously released DLC to combine for the "ultimate way to experience" Fallout 4. With just a few locations pinpointed on their map, the players choose whether to work together or individually to explore these mysterious regions that lay before them.

The board game will come with four scenarios, featuring Far Harbor, The Commonwealth, The Pitt and The Capital Wasteland. "As the players move around the board, building their skills and filling their inventory, the area's warring factions will gain power, forcing the players to pledge loyalty or defy conformity, all in pursuit of gaining the most influence of anyone else in the wasteland". "One to four players (solo play is an option) select one of five playable explorers, from a savvy Wastelander to a stout member of the Brotherhood of Steel". However it won't be strictly a copy of Fallout, since that would be impossible to replicate on a board game.

Thanks to this system, even a second playthrough of the same scenario can have drastically different encounters, quest outcomes, and opportunities for alliances and enemies.
