Community Shield Predicted XI: Arsenal vs. Chelsea

Antonio Rüdiger, Tiemoué Bakayoko and Álvaro Morata have arrived so far this summer, but everyone around the club seems adamant that there will be a few more signings before the month's out.

Morata was named among the substitutes for Sunday's Community Shield against Arsenal and later introduced in the 74th minute of the game at Wembley.

"He thinks all the time how he can change things tactically and if he can do anything better".

Chances are that Chelsea won't finish that low, but the London club barely look capable of mounting a fruitful defence.

The report says that Conte is also looking to strengthen his midfield, with Leicester's Danny Drinkwater, Everton's Ross Barkley and Arsenal's Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain among the potential targets. He was such a huge part of Chelsea's play a year ago alongside Kante at the base. We don't know how good [Bakayoko] is going to be, but that has been their business model going forward. They have the same potential as last season when they were prepared (had a squad big enough) to play in the League, Champions League, FA Cup and League Cup. He asks for the ball in behind, he holds the ball up and he can score goals too. Diego Costa scored 20 goals past year and I think Morata will.

Costa's lawyer Ricardo Cardoso has now suggested that the player is set to hand in a transfer request in order to speed up the negotiations and complete his move to Atletico Madrid. But he added: "For sure I am not frustrated because my role is the coach to train players and improve players".

Coming to the midfield, Danny Drinkwater is the deal which could most likely happen although it is believed that Conte prefers Italian global Antonio Candreva for his versatility. We have a small squad.

"Now we need to improve our squad because we have more games and we need a bigger team to face these competitions", the Chelsea boss pointed out in his Community Shield programme notes. "We have obviously added to the squad with Alvaro [Morata] and that is a great addition to the squad, but you are always to going miss big players".

"These are rumours. Eden is very happy to stay with us and to start the new season". We are respectful of teams like Bayern and the players they have. We understand that what we did [in winning the title] is finished and we are back to square one.
