Tom reportedly proposed to Luann with an eight-carat canary yellow diamond ring in February 2016.

In the hours since the announcement, de Lesseps has received support from her costars, many of whom warned her about rumors about D'Agostino's alleged infidelity prior to their marriage.

Last month, the pair faced divorce rumors, but Luann denied the reports, telling People, "Tom and I are in love, and marriage takes work". During their chat, Luann opened up about pictures of Tom kissing his ex and her decision to forgive and forget, saying, "I'm not going to let a kiss ruin our future". Luann filed the same day, and Jacques left the Sag Harbor home and moved to a hotel. Apparently, Bravo execs are now hammering out who to re-cast and who should get the boot, and the former Countess wants to make sure she gets asked back.

The announcement of a divorce comes just weeks after cracks in the façade appeared during a very public spat at a French restaurant in New York City where Luann was said to have slapped Tom according to Page Six. Luann has previously been demoted from being a full-time Real Housewife cast member to being a friend of the housewives.

"God knows he's got himself in some trouble in the past, but I don't believe that continued [while we were married]". She was later spotted on a getaway in the Hamptons. "The Real Housewives of New York City star owns a water-front three-bedroom home in nearby Sag Harbor, New York, which is frequently featured on the Bravo show". She comes from a large family in CT and all her brothers and sisters are married.
