Plus, we catch quick glimpses of what looks like Angela in a hoodie and Mr. Robot mask (!), Federal Bureau of Investigation agent Dom DiPierro holding a gun on an unseen assailant, Whiterose sitting sternly in the back of a limousine, Tyrell Wellick intensely chugging a bottle of vodka, authorities searching Elliot's apartment, and Elliot himself standing outside E Corp headquarters.

After a painstakingly complicated decoding process, USA Network has just released the first trailer of Mr. Robot's third season - a clip that was uncovered thanks to the impressive detective work of the show's most passionate fans on Reddit.

The new trailer is tense, showing the aftermath of season 2.

The f society mask is one of the most haunting visuals of the entire show.

In March it was announced that Bobby Cannavale would be joining the mix as a new character in Mr. Robot Season 3, and now USA Network has provided the first glimpse of that character (via THR) - a man named Irving, who is described as a "laconic, no-nonsense used vehicle salesman". Last season saw the introduction of Joey Badass as Leon, a confidant to Elliot (Malek). They tweeted out lines from Leonard Cohen's "Democracy", which led to endless speculation from fans.

Beyond aesthetics, the image doesn't offer up much information about who Irving is or exactly how he fits into the overall Mr. Robot narrative, which isn't necessarily surprising, as showrunner Sam Esmail has a penchant for secret-keeping. For now, the only thing we know for sure about season three is that it picks up "immediately following the season two cliffhanger", according to USA. If anything, seeing how he'll top his performance might be the most anticipated quality of season 3.
