Chelsea join Manchester United in race to sign PSG's Serge Aurier

Signing a quality right-back has been a top priority for Jose Mourinho this summer and Aurier can easily make the cut.

CHELSEA have contacted Paris Saint-Germain over the availability of Serge Aurier. Today, Chelsea enter the chase for Serge Aurier....

Aurier is among those who PSG are ready to sell but the defender's move to the Premier League hinges on whether his ban from entering the United Kingdom is lifted.

Looking for an alternative/improvement to Victor Moses down the right hand side, Antonio Conte has already seen Danilo slip through his fingers, going to Manchester City instead, and Aurier, a good defender but also great going forward, would make ideal sense as an alternative.

PSG value Aurier around €30m (£27.1m, $35.6m) and the potential suitors should meet their asking price.

A court hearing next Monday will decide if Aurier can play in the EPL since he's now banned from entering the United Kingdom.

English newspaper interpretations of the Le10 Sport report, claiming Chelsea have made a '£27m bid', are quite simply wrong. Any move from either United or Chelsea for the 24-year-old will not take shape until next week as he is set for a court hearing in France.

PSG have already signed Dani Alves on a free transfer this summer and the former Barcelona star is expected to be the first choice right-back for the 2017/18 season.

Conte is keen to spend big with Champions League football returning to Stamford Bridge next season.

Antonio Conte is also in the market for an attack-minded right-back to compete with Victor Moses in the right wing-back position and it seems he's now turned his attention to Aurier.
