New OnePlus 5 color teased in China


OnePlus 5 was recently launched in Midnight Black and Slate Grey variants and now the teaser image showcases a new mystery colour alongside the black and grey coloured variants. A lot of people and team members at Droidmen thought that the next color would be "Red or Blue". The company might launch the OnePlus 5 in White or Gold colour option.

OnePlus shared a teaser image via their official Weibo account which shows the two existing color options, alongside a third colorless one. Which confirms the report from TENAA.

Apple also released a new red color variant for the iPhone 7 Plus and interestingly, many fans of the phone immediately fell in love with this new color variant, something that has played a huge role in maintaining the incredible sales of the phone. We've seen many other companies doing the same, for instance, Samsung has been adding more color variants to the Galaxy S8 and S8+ in bid to keep the phone lively, more than two months since it was first released. As far as its key specifications are concerned, OnePlus 5 is expected to ship with a 5.5in Optic AMOLED display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, 3,300mAh battery with support for Dash Charge technology, 16MP+20MP dual rear cameras and Android 7.1 Nougat based OxygenOS. Gold colored devices have traditionally done well in the markets and the company hopes a similar result with their flagship phone.
