Piccolo's technical skills will allow him to extend his arms to grasp his opponent and charge techniques. By long-pressing the button, he can charge up for a stronger attack. When connecting from a combo, it will deal even greater damage. Krillin, on the other hand, has low power and reach, but has several unique techniques. He can even use Kamehameha, meaning fighting from a distance should not be a problem. Krillin will have a move called "Afterimage Technique", with which Krillin leaves behind an image of himself before attacking. He can also use "Destructo Disc", which is impossible to guard against. The online mode also features chibi characters that you can control and battle with for when a full sized Krillin is just too much.

With the addition of Piccolo and Krillin, the current character roster totals nine playable warriors, with Goku, Gohan, Vegeta, Frieza, Cell, and Trunks having been previously revealed. On top of that, Dragon Ball FighterZ will be supported on the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X. It also announced that a closed beta is coming soon, promising that nine characters will be available for testing.
