R. Kelly Allegedly Keeping Young Women In Sex 'Cult,' Parents Claim

Kelly is holding at least five women as part of a sex "cult", according to parents and some former members of his inner circle. They are told what to eat, how to dress, when they bathe, when they sleep, and exactly how he they are to engage in sexual encounters with him.

Kelly has made plenty of headlines over the years over alleged sexual exploits and indiscretions.

Several parents of the alleged victims have filed reports with the police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation saying that R. Kelly is running an "abusive cult" that is "tearing families apart". In order to reconnect with her daughter and learn more about the parameters of her relationship with Kelly, the mother has closed down her business and conducted her own investigation, sharing the information with FBI in both IL and Georgia. Kelly films his sexual activities, McGee and Jones state, and shows the videos to men in his circle.

Mack, Jones, and McGee claim that women who live with Kelly, who he calls his "babies", are required to call him "Daddy" and must ask his permission to leave the Chicago recording studio or their assigned rooms in the "guest house" Kelly rents near his own rented mansion in suburban Atlanta. "He is a puppet master", she said of the singer. A mother only identified as "J" shared her side of the developing news that Kelly kept her 19-year-old daughter and aspiring R&B singer in his Atlanta home and ordering her every maneuver. Police in both IL and Georgia have conducted welfare checks at both properties in the past year that have not brought any charges.

R.Kelly has always been rumored to be a foul dude who preys on young girls (peep the creepy cover of Aaliyah's Age Ain't Nothin But A Number album), but new allegations have come forth that signal bigger problems. However, the teen is not deemed a missing person as the youngster has stated she is happy to live with R Kelly. "We can only wonder why folks would persist in defaming a great artist who loves his fans, works 24/7, and takes care of all of the people in his life", the lawyer wrote.

Parents of a young woman now living in one of Kelly's properties haven't seen her since a year ago, after she failed to show up for final exams, effectively dropping out of college. This woman had been high school best friends with the girl who appeared in the videotape that landed R Kelly on trial in 2008. The names of both victims and the full names of their parents are being withheld to protect the privacy of them all, though Buzzfeed News has confirmed their full names and identities in public records.

The allegations are especially damning given R. Kelly's long history of suspected relations with young women. What begins as a professional relationship turns sexual over the course of clandestine phone calls and text messages, the report says. "I suppose that is the price of fame".

Cheryl Mack, who previously worked as Kelly's personal assistant, provided even more testimony as to how the singer runs his cult. The Buzzfeed report points out that potentially supporting evidence showing Kelly's alleged patterns of sexualizing minors was excluded from testimony. The BuzzFeed story says "a dozen or more civil lawsuits" against Kelly were settled out of court with cash payments from Kelly.
