Quentin Tarantino's Next Movie will be Based on the Manson Murders

When asked if she'd rather have Margot Robbie or Jennifer Lawrence play her sister, Debra Tate said "Not that I have anything against [Lawrence], but she's.she's not pretty enough to play Sharon".

They're both extremely accomplished actresses, but I would have to say, my pick would be Margot. I don't think as much about Jennifer Lawrence.

'She's not pretty enough to play Sharon, ' Debra told TMZ Thursday. "That's a awful thing to say, but I have my standards". The physical beauty wouldn't be so important, but Sharon's six years of her public life were all based on that incredibly lovely, natural, flawless look in both soul, heart and spirit.

Quentin Tarantino is eyeing his next project.

She also pointed out that she retains the rights to Sharon's intellectual licensing. "So that's what I'm looking to try to capture". It is possible the actress is circling the role of one of Manson's more prominent followers like Leslie Van Houten, Patrice Krenwinkel and Susan Atkins.

Tate, the wife of director Roman Polanski, along with four others - Jay Sebring, Abigail Folger, Steven Parent and Voyteck Frykowski - was brutally murdered by the Manson Family on August 9, 1969 at her home in Benedict Canyon, Los Angeles.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, which first reported the news of Tarantino's project, "any talks with actors are in the early stages", with one insider saying Lawrence wasn't even considering the role of Sharon Tate.

Reports suggest that the new film could go before the cameras as early as the summer of 2018.

Brad Pitt and Samuel L. Jackson are the two male stars being linked to the movie, which is due to begin filming next year. Tarantino is set to direct the film, which will be produced by Harvey and Bob Weinstein.
