Over the previous year, we've been wondering what will happen after the events at the Sept of Balor in the Season 6 finale.

After seasons of assassin training and being forced to renounce her identity, Arya Stark finally overcame the House of Black and White and traveled back to Westeros. Kit Harington, who plays as Jon Snow, recently told Variety that his character will eventually meet with his relative and mother of all dragons, Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke). Dondarrion is back with his flaming sword and his, well, never-say-die spirit, fighting the wights alongside Jon Snow in the trailer.

A 90-second trailer entitled "Long Walk" showed Cersei, Daenerys and Jon heading towards their respective throne rooms in King's Landing, Dragonstone, and Winterfell. One of the most exciting images in the promotions for the seventh season has been the sight of Dany planting her hand on a beach, presumably one that lies in Westeros. It gets physical between these two-well, it's mostly Jon just kicking Theon's ass. Also on that list: Cersei Lannister.

Samwell Tarly has reached a massive library in Oldtown, where he can now do more research.

To assemble its ranking, YouTube counted the views on videos related to specific Game of Thrones figures. Guests were invited to a lavish after-party, where they were greeted by a glowing Night King and got the chance to take pictures in a mock Iron Throne. Now that these two formidable women, united by the murder of the people they loved most, are plotting the Lannisters' overthrow from Dorne together, "Game of Thrones" should make some space for them to process their grief and rage together. Especially I think, when he saw Dany, and he went to see her for the first time in her chamber. That's what [director] Miguel Sapochnik said to me after "Hardhome, ' and before we did 'The Battle of the Bastards.' He said, 'We don't want to try to compete with something that already worked". Daenerys has also secured an alliance with Ironborn Yara Greyjoy, who is determined to reclaim the Iron Islands from her uncle, who seized t7ghhem after he murdered her father.

And in Episode 7, expect another big cliffhanger to end the season, Arya actor Maisie Williams revealed in January.

Walk in and above you, spread across the ceiling, are the mighty white branches and red leaves of a Weirwood - one of the sacred trees that triggers visions in the young Bran Stark. That would set us up for a final season of the show that involves employing all of those realizations, uniting not just these far-flung characters but their hard-won knowledge. As to whether that will be because they will be killing each other or not, fans will have to wait.

At the end of season 6, Jon Snow was declared King in the North, with sister Sansa by his side.
