Sony has confirmed that Gran Turismo Sport is releasing on PS4 this October 18th. The console exclusive has, unfortunately, hit a few road bumps that pushed back its anticipated release date. It costs $69.99. The $79.99 Digital Deluxe Edition offers a bit more for people's money, as it includes a 12 auto GT Sport Starter Pack, 60 GT Sport avatars, the Livery Sticker Pack, the Chrome Racing Helmet, and $2MM in-game cash.
Considering how long this game has been in development, hopefully, this will be the last time we have to announce a proper Gran Turismo Sport release date.
Gran Turismo Sport was a hot spectacle at this year's E3, earning attention for its graphics and improved physics engine.
"I'm extremely excited to confirm that Gran Turismo Sport will be launching on October 17 in North America", the post revealed.More news: Trump leaves for Paris amid troubles in Washington
A recent closed beta test of the racer from Polyphony was completed and, we've heard, was highly successful. It comes packed with: GT Sport Starter Pack (12 Cars), $2MM In-Game Credit, a Livery Sticker Pack, 60 GT Sport Themed Avatars, a Chrome Racing Helmet (For Driver Profile), and Limited Steel Book & Packaging.
It will also be available in several editions, all of which are available to pre-order now.
If this isn't enough to satiate you then you may want to check out the game's Deluxe Edition (79.99 USD MSRP). The PlayStation blog does not list the steel book for the Digital Deluxe Edition.
