Gordon Hayward is set to meet with three teams

While the Heat should be excited about getting a meeting with Hayward, it will take a lot to convince him to leave Utah. He'll meet with the Heat on Saturday, according to the Salt Lake Tribune.

Lindsey's biggest hits were drafting Rudy Gobert, hiring coach Quin Snyder, signing free agent Joe Johnson and trading for point guards George Hill and Ricky Rubio in successive summers. Miami and Boston are reportedly the strongest contenders to steal the superstar away from Utah, where he has played the first seven seasons of his career. They're kind of chiseled on the mountains here, and so Hayward has an opportunity here in Utah.

Hayward finally had a team that was built around him, and he made the most of it. Utah's advantage is the ability to sign Hayward to a five-year contract worth around $180 million. As a No. 1 overall pick in 2009, Griffin is a 6-foot-10 power forward who would immediately become the Celtics' best rebounder, averaging 9.4 rebounds per game in his career. He's a big fan of Hayward.

Paul George could be the final piece that gives the Boston Celtics one of the NBA's super teams. "And not just Stevens in a buddy-buddy sense, but, far more importantly, Stevens as the controller of an environment that Hayward reveres". It's unlikely the Knicks will want to heavily invest in a player like Rose when they're orchestrating a rebuild.

Last year, National Basketball Association executives ranked Stevens as the third best coach in the league, trailing only Spurs coach Gregg Popovich and Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle.

Genuinely, most people are looking at this face value which is that neither Boston or the Jazz are even making the finals for the next 3-4 years, especially Utah. There's going to be a $177 million offer, plenty of memories and the appeal of remaining the face of the franchise.

Pat Riley and his crew are generally not to be underestimated at this time of year. They will get a shot at pitching their best case to Gordon Hayward. He only played in 49 games, dealing with a sprained thumb early on, but the Jazz went 33-16 when he was healthy on the floor.

"For either, landing Hayward would be a transitional moment as they attempt to construct a team to beat (LeBron) James", Windhorst wrote. It helps both set up the next transaction.

Whatever the Celtics actually offered on either occasion, it appears they offered a good amount and they've been trying for some time.

George isn't a free agent, and neither is Carmelo Anthony. In fact, Hayward has just declared his free agency by notifying the #Utah Jazz that he will decline his player option for the 2017-18 season.

All of that being said, it will be interesting to see what the upcoming offseason has in store for Hayward.
