Cleveland Cavaliers talking National Basketball Association trade with Houston Rockets about Iman Shumpert

Having already apparently found themselves in conversations with multiple teams about trading Iman Shumpert, it looks like the Cleveland Cavaliers may soon have a deal in place.

Because Korver's championship window is closing, it's likely he will re-sign with the Cavaliers.

As they map out free agency, the Cavs are still looking for a front-office executive after parting ways with general manager David Griffin. Shumpert averaged 7.5 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 76 games for the Cavs last season.

Sam Amico goes on to note that the Cavaliers would not be getting a player in return. The Cleveland Cavaliers should begin their hopefully active offseason by signing at least of these five free agents.

"For a lot of teams, sometimes it's easier for the season to be over when you're in this position, but that's not our team", Korver said after Cleveland extended the series with a 137-116 rout of Golden State. He shot a career-worst 41.0 percent from the floor and 31.3 percent from downtown.

But they didn't pull the trigger-all because LeBron James wouldn't commit to the Cavaliers long term, according to a report from Cleveland Scene editor-in-chief Vince Grzegorek. The second year is a player's option with $11 million. He averaged 5.8 points during the playoffs. The NBA salary cap is estimated at $99 million, while the luxury tax threshold is projected to be $119 million.
