From June 2018, all new apps submitted to the Mac app store will need to support 64-bit, and from June 2018 updates to existing apps must also be 64-bit compatible.
Apple this week also launched an updated App Store that adds original editorial features, a "Today" tab for daily announcements about new features, and other new tabs for Games, Apps and Updates. What this means is that apps that are still in use but haven't been updated since 2015 must be infused with 64-bit support in order to run on iOS 11. According to CNN, Apple announced at their 2017 Worldwide Developers Conference that the new iOS 11 will introduce "Do Not Disturb While Driving." iPhones connected to a auto via Bluetooth or cable will silence notifications from iMessage and certain news apps, for instance, during drives. The tool is reminiscent of the AirDrop feature, which allows users to easily share media between devices via Bluetooth.
