Green leading vote-getter for All-Defensive team

Warriors forward Draymond Green was the leading vote-getter for the NBA's All-Defense teams announced Monday morning.

The Milwaukee Bucks and Houston Rockets have become double winners at the NBA Awards show.

Leonard averaged 1.78 steals and 0.74 blocks in his sixth season with the Spurs. He has never won a Defensive Player of the Year award, but is the favorite for 2016-17. Two Spurs made this: Kawhi Leonard and Danny Green.

He was also named first-team All-NBA earlier in May.

Mike D'Antoni was then voted Coach of the Year, the second time he has won the award.

Leonard is the first San Antonio player to be named to the NBA All-Defensive First Team in three consecutive seasons since Bruce Bowen made the team five straight seasons (2003-2008). They helped lead the team to a 61-21 record, giving the Silver and Black their first back-to-back 60-win seasons in franchise history.

Green's versatility has made him one of the NBA's top defenders, as he averaged 7.9 rebounds, 2.0 steals and 1.4 blocks per game while also ranking second in the National Basketball Association in individual defensive rating (99.1).

Both players received all 100 first-team votes from a panel of sports writers and broadcasters.

Leonard is also a finalist for Kia NBA Most Valuable Player and Kia NBA Defensive Player of the Year, which will be announced on Monday night at the NBA Awards show in NY.

The second team was Denver's Jamal Murray, Boston's Jaylen Brown, the Suns' Marquese Chriss, Lakers guard Brandon Ingram and Dallas guard Yogi Ferrell.
