First Look At 'Frozen' Spinoff 'Olaf's Frozen Adventure'


This week's 90-second preview shows Olaf the snowman and Sven the reindeer on a quest to find holiday traditions to share with his royal friends Elsa and Anna, voiced by Idina Menzel and Kristen Bell. The new project will feature Olaf as he attempts to seek out and capture the best holiday traditions from all over the world for Anna and Elsa.

"I'm thrilled that Disney Animation's featurette Olaf's Frozen Adventure will be coming to theaters in November with Pixar's Coco", said Walt Disney and Pixar Animation Studios Chief Creative Officer John Lasseter.

Olaf, the loveable snowman from the "Frozen" animated movie, is back with an all-new spinoff.

Walt Disney Animation Studios (WDAS) and Pixar Animation Studios are teaming up this holiday season when WDAS' new featurette "Olaf's Frozen Adventure" opens in front of Disney•Pixar's original feature film "Coco" on November 22, 2017.

Lego also produced a series of short films called Frozen: Northern Lights, which featured blocky brick versions of the franchise's characters.

Elsa and Anna are set to welcome Christmas back in their home but are left sad and hopeless because they don't have a Christmas tradition of their own.

And in case you're wondering, the Frozen short features four new original songs, one of which is teased at the end of the trailer. "That's 'Frozen Fever". Now, they have their first holiday season together.

Instead, Disney has treated us to two tiny spin-off movies - Frozen Fever in 2015 and now - Olaf's Frozen Adventure. Considering the highly anticipated sequel to the mega-hit, Frozen, comes out November 27, 2019, this trailer was a great way to get even more excited for what's to come.

The 21-minute featurette, which will be screened ahead of new Pixar film Coco, also features four new songs, composed by Kate Anderson and Elyssa Samsel.
