In exchange for two picks in the first round (No. 15 and No. 20), the Kings dealt the No. 10 overall selection to Portland. He averaged 10.0 points, 5.9 rebounds and 0.4 assists in his one year as a collegiate. Collins could find minutes at backup center next season in Portland. He also shot 47.6 percent from three, though that's a small sample size, making 10 of 21 attempts from deep.

Jackson, who was named ACC Player of the Year and UNC MVP, averaged 18.4 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 2.8 assists last year.

"I don't see why I can't be the Rookie of the Year", Collins said. In addition to the 15th and 20th picks, the Blazers also had the 26th pick.

The Blazers' winningest starting lineup included Lillard, McCollum, Nurkic and forwards Noah Vonleh and Maurice Harkless.

"Just try to find ways to outsmart the offensive player a little bit even if they tried to overpower me".

Zach Collins walks up on stage after being selected by the Sacramento Kings as the 10th pick overall during the NBA basketball draft, Thursday, June 22, 2017, in NY.

"We'd been talking to Sacramento and a lot was going to have to happen in terms of what they got at five for them to be amenable to trading 10", Olshey said.

Portland signed hefty contracts with Evan Turner, Allen Crabbe and Leonard a year ago, and the team has the third-highest payroll in the league.
