Did Lebron James deserve to be voted NBA Finals MVP?

Kerr returned for game two of the Finals and wins his second title in three years.

Quickly ending speculation just a few hours after their victory in the National Basketball Association championships Monday night, the entire Golden State Warriors organization has reportedly decided they won't visit the White House, bucking tradition for championship sports teams. So for me personally I have no reason to put my head down.

Durant won the Finals MVP award after averaging 35.2 points, 8.4 rebounds, 5.4 assists, and 1.6 blocks for the series. You kept us off the street. I'm not happy at all. Durant was front and center in that turnaround, hitting the go-ahead 3-pointer to provide the signature moment of the Warriors rally - and the series as a whole - in an 11-0 finish.

The highlight of this year's NBA Finals wasn't Steph Curry's free throws or Lebron James' dunks - it was Rihanna, who is arguably the highlight of every event she attends. The $600 clue in the category "Sporting Life" subtly roasted Durant for his 2016 decision to ditch the Thunder and join the Warriors, the very team that had just beaten him in the 2016 Western Conference Finals. After a week of various narratives, legacy talk and whether or not kids in Bismarck, North Dakota would respect Durant for winning his first ring, the final word on these Finals comes from the biggest King James supporter that isn't directly family: Rihanna.

James and Kyrie Irving dueling Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry was such good theater, it made you wonder if the Olympics should've added 2 on 2 as a new sport rather than 3 on 3. To celebrate, Nike unveiled an ad celebrating Durant's triumph, but that's not all.

"The Bible both pumps me up and balances me to play my best", the 6'9' forward said.

"So like I said, having - getting that first championship for me was like having my first son. I've been put here for a specific goal: to be a witness and to share my testimony as I go through it".

"I couldn't sleep for two days", Durant admitted.

LeBron James did all that he could to extend the season and had some help from J.R. Smith.

Of course, that's what Silver wants and usually what the commissioner wants they will get, but there is one group that can stop him: the owners.
