Kickboxer Murthel Groenhart KO's Opponent, Gets Attacked By Fans in Ring

Taking on Harut Hrigorian in Paris, Groenhart knocked his opponent into another dimension after he inexplicably turned his back in the middle of the round. The first guy jumped into Groenhart while he was standing in the corner and leveled him with a blistering right hook.

Glory 42, the kickboxing league's Saturday event (June 10), had a insane turn of events in Paris, when fans attacked one of the fighters in the ring.

Glory announcer Todd Grishman offered a second view of the unexpected melee.

Upon showing the replay of the punch that ended the fight, fans in the arena began to boo loudly.

The punch appeared to legal and the ref did nothing to signal the round was over or time was taken out.

Groenhart did nothing wrong in terms of the fight.

Grigorian's trainer Nicky Hemmers said on the broadcast that his fighter turned his back due to a cut - "which you never do in a fight", he said - and he didn't hold it against Groenhart for hitting him.

GLORY has yet to comment on the events that transpired after the fight, but did announce via Twitter that Groenhart had received the next title shot at the welterweight title.
